Don’t Overthink: Just Want It
Are you killing your drive by thinking too much?
Most people are. They call it being cautious, being reasonable, being wise. But what they’re really doing is negotiating with fear. They mean well, but they will not only waste their time but yours as well.
In this discussion, I’m not going to quote any scholars or philosophers. I’m not giving you theories—I’m giving you a mirror. Look into it.
Desire Doesn’t Wait—It Moves
When you want something badly, really want it, you don’t talk yourself out of it. You don’t need a second opinion. You just move.
When you’re hungry, you don’t sit and think about the nutritional value of every bite—you eat. The only time you pause is when something unnatural interrupts that instinct.
That “unnatural” thing is usually fear.
Overthinking Is Just Fear in Disguise
Overthinking is not logic—it’s anxiety dressed in rational clothing.
It’s doubt whispering sweet lies in your ear, saying:
“What if it doesn’t work?”
“Maybe I’m not ready.”
“I need more time.”
The truth? Overthinking is a fancy name for avoiding action.
You’re not solving problems. You’re giving fear the mic, which is a very paralyzing action indeed.
The Mind Makes a Great Tool, But a Terrible Master
Your mind is a tool. It’s designed to take direction from your spirit, your intuition, your knowing. But most people flip the script: they let the mind dominate, dictate, and derail.
And the worst part? You think you’re being responsible.
No. You’re being imprisoned—by your own thoughts.
You Don’t Need Permission to Want What You Want
Desire doesn’t need a permit. You don’t need a reason to want what you want.
You don’t have to explain it. You don’t need to justify it. You don’t need to shrink it down so it’s palatable for other people.
You just have to own it.
Own the feeling. Own the fire.
Because that fire is what makes you alive.
Don’t Ask Fear for Directions
You can't plan your way into courage. You can't schedule desire.
Trying to think your way into a dream is like asking a jailer how to escape.
Fear will always tell you to wait.
Desire will always tell you to leap.
So leap.
Get Out of Your Head and Into Your Life
This isn’t about being reckless. It’s about being real.
You already know what you want. Now the only thing left to do is stop asking for permission—from others, from fear, from your overthinking mind.
I know many who are forever speculating and never made a move to bring their dreams to reality even though in their mind they're doing the damn thing!
You don’t need a new plan.
You don’t need another reason.
You just need to want it—fully, wildly, unapologetically.
And then move.
If this hit home for you, drop a comment, share it, or read it out loud to someone who needs to hear it.
You never know who’s sitting on a dream, waiting for a sign.
You just might be that sign.
