“I’m not with you guys 10 percent, 50 percent, I will always be the voice for the people in Israel. I will always stand behind the country of Israel. The one and only Floyd Money Mayweather is for Israel. I will always be there for you guys when you guys run out of voices. Now, people keep hearing this, why Floyd, why, why? Well, my best friend is Jewish. This is my brother. And if you have a problem with him, you have a problem with me. So, no matter what it is, when it is, when you call me, I’m there for you guys. Always. I don’t care if it’s social media, I’m going to be the voice, I’m going to speak, I’m going to stand strong. No matter where I go, no matter how much backlash I get, I live my life for me.” - Floyd “Money” Mayweather
When the smoke clears and the lights go down, it’s not about how many belts you held, how many zeroes decorate your record — it’s about who you stand for. And Floyd Mayweather just told the world loud and clear: he’s not standing with Black people.
He was unapologetic, emphatic even: “I will always be the voice for the people of Israel… I’ll always stand behind the country of Israel… No matter what it is, when it is, when you call me, I’m there for you always.”
That’s what he said. And Black folks have a question:
Floyd – where the hell was THAT energy for us?
When our children were getting murdered in the streets…
When our elders were beaten like dogs…
When an entire race was calling for justice, for humanity, for dignity…
Floyd was silent. But not silent — he was loud in the opposite direction.
When Black folks were boycotting Gucci for mocking us with racist designs and spitting in our faces, Floyd didn’t just ignore it — he strutted into Gucci’s doors, posted it, mocked us, and told us: “Shop where you want to shop.”
But now? He’s standing tall, chest out, voice booming, defending Israel like he’s the last soldier in the desert. No hesitation. No confusion. No middle ground. Total support. Devotion. Loyalty.
Where is ONE quote of Floyd Mayweather saying:
“I’m always going to be the voice for Black people. I’m going to stand strong, ride hard, and go to bat for you, no matter what.”
It doesn’t exist.
And that’s why many of us are DONE with Floyd Mayweather. His “support” is always strategic. He’ll put All Lives Matter over Black Lives Matter. He’ll champion capitalism over community, status over substance, and his personal bag over the collective pain of Black people.
The same Floyd who said, “It shouldn’t be Black Lives Matter, it should be All Lives Matter,” is now saying, “No matter how much backlash I get, I’m going to stand strong for Israel.”
Why?
Because it’s business.
Because it’s convenience.
Because standing for Black folks doesn’t multiply your international business deals, your Las Vegas casino suites, or your overseas social clubs.
But saying “I stand with Israel”? That enters you into a new category of support from a powerful, globally-connected, well-funded network that can open doors Floyd’s billions can only knock on. It’s a BOSS move — not for principle — but for profit.
Let’s be real:
Floyd Mayweather has NEVER risked a dime, a deal, or a moment’s comfort for Black people. He has never marched, never organized, never called out injustice, never funded an initiative for the inner city unless it sat next to his brand name in gold leaf.
He doesn’t even speak up when children are getting bullets in their backs. But let a Jewish organization call — and suddenly, he’s the Messiah of the microphone.
But if this is your “loyalty,” then Floyd, go right on. Just don’t expect a seat at the African table when it’s time to break bread.
This isn’t hate. This is accountability. Because when the megaphone of our influence refuses to blow in the direction of our own struggle — it’s not just betrayal.
It’s a declaration: I’m not one of you.
And we heard it loud and clear.
