From a woman's point of view :When a man cheats and lies, it’s not just the betrayal of trust, it’s the complete disrespect for everything you shared. I’m not someone who’s willing to play the fool again. It’s not about whether I can forgive you or not; it’s about the damage that’s been done and the long-term effects of it, the trust that was lost. What you did doesn’t just break the relationship, it breaks the foundation of trust that should have been solid between the two. And once that’s broken, it’s so much harder to rebuild.

You might say you’ve changed, but words are empty without action. You had your chance and blew it, and if you really cared about me, why did it take losing me for you to realize what you had? I refuse to be someone’s second choice or safety net. You didn’t fight for me when things were good, and now that you're lonely, you want to come back because the reality of being without me finally hit. That’s not love; that’s convenient.

Even if I still have feelings for you, I must ask myself, do I really want to go through heartbreak again? Will I ever trust you completely? I don’t think I can. The emotional toll of loving someone who isn’t truthful isn’t something I’m willing to tolerate. Every time I think about letting you back in, I remember how I felt when I discovered the lies and the dishonesty. That’s not a feeling I ever want to relive. I deserve someone who values me from the start, not someone who only realizes my worth when it’s too late.

I’ve learned that it’s not about giving someone another chance because you miss them, but about what’s best for me. And what’s best is letting go. I can’t keep hoping that you’ll change or that we can go back to how things were because we can’t. There’s no going back to a place where trust was broken beyond repair. I’m worth more than that.

This was a great read.
