This is horrible. Not just bad, not just unfortunate—horrible. What we are living through right now is a level of control that doesn’t come with whips or chains you can see, but it cuts deeper than anything our ancestors faced with their eyes wide open.
Back then, pain was loud. It was violent. It was obvious. You knew when you were under attack. Your body knew it. Your mind knew it. Your spirit knew it. There was no confusion about what you were facing, even if escape was hard.
But today, what we are dealing with is quiet. It’s invisible. It slips into your life like a thief in the night. You don’t see it. You don’t smell it. You don’t even feel it—until it’s too late.
And that’s what makes it more dangerous. Not less. More.
So the question has to be asked, and it has to be answered honestly—are we worse off now than we were back then?
THE FIRE VS THE FUMES
Let’s break it down real simple. When there is a fire, you know it. The heat hits you. The smoke chokes you. Your body goes into survival mode. You run. You fight. You search for a way out. Even if you don’t make it, you fought to live.
Fire activates your instincts. It demands action.
But carbon monoxide? That’s a different story.
It doesn’t burn. It doesn’t scream. It doesn’t force you to move. It lulls you. It relaxes you. It puts you into a false sense of safety. You lay there thinking everything is fine while your life is slowly being taken from you.
And before you even realize what’s happening… you’re gone.
This is what we are dealing with today.
We walk into places that don’t belong to us, spend money that doesn’t build us, listen to messages that break us down, and call it normal. We let our children absorb it like it’s just entertainment. Like it doesn’t matter.
But it does.
Every sound. Every image. Every message. It all builds a reality.
And that reality is not ours.
We have been conditioned to accept what does not serve us. To praise what damages us. To ignore what should alarm us.
This is not freedom. This is a different form of control.
Because when you can’t see your chains, you won’t even try to break them.
And that’s the trap.
Back then, we were forced to stay together. We built with each other. We supported each other, even under pressure. There was unity in the struggle.
Now, we have been scattered. Distracted. Divided.
We call it progress, but look closely—what have we really gained if we lost our connection, our economic power, and our cultural foundation?
This is the carbon monoxide effect.
You don’t even know you’re in danger.
And the few who do see it? They’re running through the house trying to wake everybody up.
“Get up! Something is wrong!”
But what do they hear back?
“I don’t see nothing.”
“I don’t feel nothing.”
“Leave me alone.”
That’s the scariest part.
Because by the time you start feeling it… you’re already too weak to move.
And now, the ones who are awake are faced with a hard truth.
Do you stay and try to save everybody… or do you get out while you still can?
That’s not just a question. That’s a reality many are living right now.
THE WAKE-UP CALL
We are in a moment where awareness is life or death.
This is not about fear. This is about clarity.
You have to see what is happening around you and ask yourself—is this building me, or is this breaking me?
Is this helping my people, or is it draining us?
Is this culture, or is this control disguised as culture?
Because everything that looks normal is not necessarily healthy.
And everything that feels comfortable is not necessarily safe.
We have to wake up.
Not tomorrow. Not next year. Now.
MY CLOSING THOUGHTS…
We can’t afford to sleep through this. Too much is at stake. Our minds, our families, our future—all of it is on the line right now.
This is not about pointing fingers. This is about taking responsibility. Each one of us has to decide what we will accept and what we will reject.
You don’t need permission to wake up. You don’t need validation to see the truth. Once you see it, you can’t unsee it.
And once you know, you have a duty.
A duty to yourself. A duty to your family. A duty to your community.
We have to start building again. Supporting again. Thinking again. Moving with purpose again.
Because if we don’t, this silent killer will keep doing its job.
Quietly. Patiently. Completely.
So the question is simple.
Are you going to keep sleeping… or are you going to wake up and move?
