Three women k!lled in single-vehicle crash moments after posting video in the car drinking and going up to 116 MPH Three friends soak in alcohol were k!lled driving at 116 MPH with one left with critical injuries in a single-vehicle crash in Lake County on Sunday, March 30, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred around 3:16 a.m. on State Road 19, south of Saint Florian Lane, troopers said. One of them in the car shared a video of them drinking and singing to a loud rap song just moments before the crash.
According to report, a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling northbound on S.R. 19 when its driver failed to negotiate a left-hand curve and the SUV ran off the roadway to the right.
The driver, 30-year-old Shaykaylah Mathis, of Mount Dora, and carried three others from Eustis, Kaneisha Lewis, 32; Aqutavia Pew, 28; and a 26-year-old woman, whose name has not been released by troopers.
Mathis, Lewis and Pew were pronounced de@d at the scene, according to Florida Highway Patrol. The 26-year-old Eustis woman was in critical condition at the time of this report, troopers said.
